The Issues with our CBD Laws?
The current CBD scene is a bit of a head-scratcher. Despite EU green lights, our products often end up in customs limbo, and the legal landscape feels like a maze designed by someone who’s lost their glasses. There's a real need for a spruce up in the regulations to keep them fair and square for everyone.

2018
Early 2018
Research and planning begin. We delve deep into the nuances of the EU and Irish CBD scene, learning every legal hoop and hurdle.
August 2018
Major life change! We sell everything, pack our lives into bags (toddler in tow!), and move from Australia back to Ireland, determined to open a trailblazing hemp cannabis dispensary.
Early November 2018
The digital doors open with the launch of the Little Collins website, serving the entire Republic of Ireland from the get-go.
22nd November 2018
We open the doors to our first physical store in Galway City, turning a new leaf in Ireland’s cannabis story.
2019
March 2019
First snag hits. Revenue Customs start seizing our products - beginning a long battle that’s still going on.
May 2019
A double whammy - our Galway dispensary is raided, and so is our family home, making the stakes personal.
September 2019
Innovation amidst chaos—we launch Ireland’s first CBD cannabis butter product.
2020
February 2020
We grab the keys to what will become our Kilkenny shop.
March 2020
COVID hits Ireland, but it's business as usual for us. We're deemed an essential business and adapt swiftly by installing a Hemp Hatch in Galway, pioneering one of Ireland’s first service hatches.
May 2020
Unfathomably, in the middle of lockdowns, Customs and the Guards undertake two controlled deliveries of legal EU hemp products on Little Collins postal customers, one of whom was single Mum with epilepsy.
June 2020
We expand our roots by leasing a Dublin office.
July 2020
Responding to the postal delivery saga, we start a Private Courier Service to ensure our products reach our customers safely, every time.
August 2020
The Kilkenny dispensary opens its doors.
October 2020
We secure an injunction on criminal proceedings; meanwhile, High Court proceedings kick off.
November 2020
Historic "Kannavape" decision in the European Court of Justice.
2021 & 2022
February 2021
More raids this time our Kilkenny dispensary faces threats of closure from the Guards, but we stand our ground and keep the doors open.
Throughout 2021
We face ongoing seizures, increasing scrutiny, and regulatory shifts, continuously adapting to the changes whilst running our company.
November 2021
The unveiling of the Ellen Murphy mural in Kilkenny adds a cultural touch to our journey.
September 2022
We expand further with the keys to a new Dublin shop.
2023 - Present Day
April 2023:
The Dublin dispensary opens, marking another milestone.
Mid 2023:
The Irish State is pulling out every trick in the book, this time offering settlements to the remaining parties challenging their rigid, draconian stance on hemp & CBD.
December 2023:
We venture northward, opening an office in Northern Ireland, facilitating express deliveries to the UK market.
Ongoing:
The legal saga continues with the Irish State still dragging out the High Court case involving Little Collins. Our commitment to providing top-quality, legal CBD products remains unwavering, and we continue to navigate the evolving landscape with optimism and resilience.
